The Tekron configuration tool has the option to create and customise user groups so that a user can customise the types of users who have access to the clock and what they have access to.
*Please note this feature is only available if security is enabled.
To set up a new user group, follow the process below.
- Open the Tekron Configuration tool and select a clock you wish to configure the user's for
- Click the Configure button
- You will need to log in with the admin account
- If you are logging into the clock for the first time, the account details are:
- Username: admin
- Password: Password
- If you are logging into the clock for the first time, the account details are:
- Click on the "user" tab
- Click the "Add" button at the bottom of the list, to add a group
- Enter a name for your group and click "add"
- Under the new group name, click the "Add" button, this will a new user to the group
- Select an appropriate username, and password and ensure that the group name is correct and that the "Must Change Password" checkbox is checked.
- Click "Add"
- On the right-hand side, there is the option to modify the password requirements.
- Once all configurations are set, click the store configuration button.
